Short Circuit Cancer has raised over $150,000 across our four events held to date. This money is donated directly to Cancer Council NSW where it is used to fund research and education. But we are doing more than just donating money to cancer research.

We are supporting the community and families to Get Active. Aside from just mountain biking, we introduced a more formalised children’s program aimed at gross motor skills and balance (important for biking), three bike skills sessions, a kids trail ride and a fitness challenge to our Heathcote event. As part of our Hunter Valley event we'll be including a bush walk, as well as the children's program.

Our 2015 plans are to launch Short Circuit Cancer to local communities with a grassroots program, offering
• Involvement with local schools to provide a bike awareness course
• Bike clinic to be offered during school holidays to encourage younger children to ride
• Short Circuit Cancer community rides to improve new rider confidence levels
